It’s barely accountable today. Are Portland residents happy that the city’s still getting trashed and burnt every night with police standing by? I doubt it. Still the policy just looks on, and if they happen to arrest somebody the AG just lets them go without charges.

Infected Moomin (moon@shitposter.club)'s status on Thursday, 27-May-2021 06:32:21 JST Infected Moomin @Bro-Drillard @Bajax @TheQuQu @deprecated ok but the basic point I was trying to make was that the administration of the police would not even be accountable to the area they live in if it were federalized. -

Bajax (bajax@shitposter.club)'s status on Thursday, 27-May-2021 06:32:31 JST Bajax @deprecated @TheQuQu The next “new deal” is going to include a massive militarization and raising of a “woke” police force under the guise of giving jobs to “traditionally disenfranchised” persons. Mark my words— it might not be for ten years, but it’s coming.

Bajax (bajax@shitposter.club)'s status on Thursday, 27-May-2021 06:32:33 JST Bajax @deprecated @TheQuQu This is the kind of thing where it’ll only take one or two incidents for the average Colbert and John Oliver watching, Rick and Morty massive intellect-flexing, funco pop collecting public to advocate just going door to door to search everyone’s house for guns. It’ll be connected, of course, to stopping crime in inner cities as well, but most of their resources and energy are going to be focused on whitey— anything else would be “inequitable”

Bajax (bajax@shitposter.club)'s status on Thursday, 27-May-2021 06:32:34 JST Bajax @deprecated @TheQuQu That will be justification for further militarization of the police, and every single one of them will be connected to “white supremacy” or some other scare-word. It’ll be further justification in the mind of the braindead white liberal cohort for more and more anti-white policies.
Things do NOT look good at all.

deprecated (deprecated@poa.st)'s status on Thursday, 27-May-2021 06:32:35 JST deprecated @TheQuQu Upstanding whites are not like blacks, who will either go quietly or chimp incompetently and get put down by barely-trained cops. Some might fight it in court, but enough will decide to go out shooting.
There are huge numbers of white combat veterans and hardcore ideological types wandering around who make the typical cop look like a brain damaged 9 year old in fighting ability; you’ll have a Chris Dorner every week if cops start targeting them intentionally for searches.

deprecated (deprecated@poa.st)'s status on Thursday, 27-May-2021 06:32:41 JST deprecated @TheQuQu Yeah I’m aware of this aspect but that’s more of a side effect than intentional and isn’t a good play if it IS intentional. If they want to take down someone in particular, they can do it already without making new laws. All they’re doing is making incidental interactions between upstanding whites and police enormously more dangerous.

Think of it more as racial revenge for the war on drugs. They didn't go door to door confiscating drugs, but there's still tons of people in jail for it because they found them during a traffic stop or something. -
deprecated (deprecated@poa.st)'s status on Thursday, 27-May-2021 06:32:43 JST deprecated The government has no ability to go door to door confiscating firearms at scale. If you think it can, you’re a retard.
