i never realized real markdown requires much more line breaks and that the flavor of markdown obsidian used was way more lenient...

all my text gets put in a single paragraph on github and gitlab and whatever LOL

even worse, I kinda prefer it the nonstandard way. I don't wanna leave an empty line between every 2 paragraphs

And, I know, CODERS like every sentence on a single line and ideally in less than 80 characters which is why we probably ended up with the blank line rule, however

all the text editors I (a baby) use are capable of wrapping long lines. And it doesn't matter anyway it's not like I'll ever need to edit those with vim on someone else's computer it's not code or whatever

people say that latex is a lifesaver but i mean its pretty bad. which begs for the question if anything is good

hey so remember how I sometimes do the thing where I start playing a game with story and I post screenshots from it in a really long thread and people start having trouble loading the thread and then I never finish the game

well if I don't finish this one both Alex and Alice will be mad

<THE FINAL FANTASY 8 THREAD>

i was told the intro cinematic is a huge spoiler but i didnt really get it. but apparently the part where the protagonist fights another guy is canon because the game starts off in the infirmary

anyway his name is squall (does anyone really ever change the names lol)

and his teacher is a blonde

and there's a field exam

the academy looks pretty nice

time to become a SeeD (whatever that is, i forgot)

but Squall didn't pass the prerequsities yet... so his teacher is taking him to the ［Fire cavern］right now, so he can make the exam...

funny thing about the last time I tried to play this: I spent an hour reading all the tutorials in the study plan

and then it turned out that the tutorials also show up again when the game mechanic actually comes up first time in combat

the lili transfer student who is late and doesn't know the school (sorry, i mean GARDEN) very well

squall just explains to her what facilities are there, which is cool because its like a little tutorial i guess

the fact that they're called SeeD and their monsters are called GF... still funny to me
