@shmibs yea i just... idk. im a mess and ive never had to deal w/ this much instability and i rlly dont want to be alive so being excited about future & learning is hard even though thats all i ever thought i wanted when i was younger.

@shmibs ive never been good at structured learning in an academic environment ive just got by bc it always was trivial to me & people were ultimately forgiving of the ways the environment was unsuitable, allowed me to figure things out on my own so long as i got therei was just really bored in uni last year & im transferring but im such a disordered mess cognitively these days that i cant imagine it being anything other than miserablewhich is sad bc i used to be so excited and curious

@shmibs eh hardlywhen im not a wreck which is increasingly rare i do pl-adjacent things & some type theory i've learned to apply to that& i want to continue studying a lot of maths in service of those formalization efforts. mostly algebraic things & some topology (algebraic). only thing outside of that i guess would be i'd like to understand statmech a bit so i can better understand probabilistic PL stuff and how the inference algorithms for that work

@shmibs yeah i meant that insincerely. i have more fundamental goals and desires. but it'd be nice.if only i had any confidence in the future of my own maths career

@shmibs @georgia does hlwm have snapping regions? i use it but basically just the default config, i've not experimented with it muchi guess you could probably model that by splitting the window into frames and then moving stuff into the frames?
