@gabriel Judging by what you've talked about I have a feeling you might find this...let's just say... interesting.
I'm not totally dismissing the idea of vertical gardens and whatnot, but this is seriously at variance with what has happened in the area. I think the only rooftop gardens I've seen here were a result of neglect, if you know what I mean.
Generally speaking 'property spruikers' are paid good money to spread ideas like this. I remember someone telling me Scott Morrison was a 'property spruiker'. Spruikers are well-meaning of course, just like the stock-market shill who has no idea they were beneficiaries of Magical Money Tree theory...
Maybe this is another Magical Money Tree theory? 😉 #housingStonk
A resident recently informed me that such motorised vehicles are known to be dangerous on the footpaths, with deaths occuring overseas and interstate.
To me, this opens up a discussion on whether motorised vehicles of any sort should be used habitually on footpaths.
Thoughts?

DCentYou may notice that I never refer to Unley as a city; never using the phrase 'City of Unley'. I use words like 'region', 'precincts' (or 'mainstreets'), 'plains', 'townships', even 'places'. The word 'city' immediately suggests the type of overdevelopment that is making Unley, and Adelaide more broadly, a hotter, crowded and less thoughtful and resilient place.
We need to start thinking in terms of #resilience. More resilience and conservation and less grift and waste.
STEP 3) Get an XMPP client for your device/OS/distro
------------------------------------------------------------------
You'll need an XMPP client that allows connecting by proxy (ie. your tunnel at 127.0.0.1, port 5222 made above).
🪶 ANDROID: 'Conversations' app has typically been popular. Find it or others in F-Droid's list of XMPP softwares (https://search.f-droid.org/?q=xmpp). If you use an app like 'Conversations' you'll need to go into 'Settings' > 'Expert settings' > and enable 'Extended connection settings' for such host/port settings.
🐧 DESKTOP: Many GNU+Linux distributions already have Pidgin installed! Kaidan.im is another option.
- In Pidgin for example, go to 'Accounts' > 'Manage Accounts' > 'Add…'
- Then select protocol XMPP, username whatever-you-like, domain (the long key/address eg. ...2eswa6pq.b32.i2p), and set your password.
- In the Proxy tab select type SOCKS5, host 127.0.0.1, port 5222
🪟 🍎 Windows/MacOS users might have luck with gajim.org or adium.im respectively, try a web search for "xmpp' and your OS.
Also I am led to believe our Monarchs are #environmentalists, so I'm struggling with the concept of an alleged "Crown Development" that removes so many important trees.
To me it highlights the extent to which the public consultation system State-wide is a shambles, when links to "Major" and "Crown" (no less) developments are broken for months. #notGoodEnough
The Major Local Development Application section of the website has a link that directs people to the wrong development application, not "Crown Development", DA-090V02621.
I'm told the "Crown Development" will result in widespread loss of large #trees around the rail line, and wanted to see the extent of the issue. The link points to the Showgrounds development for new basketball courts, not the development that will remove what I'm told are many, /many/, large, regulated, native trees.
Via the LGA I will fight to either:
👉 have so-called "Council Development Panels" named "Local State Development Panels" (least favourable option), or
👉 have four panel members (ie. not more than 50%) chosen by lottery at an upcoming council meeting (similar to a jury chosen by lottery, this does mean all councillors must learn basics of town planning and must be paid also on the probability of being chosen), or
👉 have all planning experts be chosen democratically at election time.
I think you'll agree, none of the above measures can be considered controversial.
Having only one duly elected councillor on the State-govt enforced, "/Council/ Development Panel" is a travesty of language. Do words have no meaning anymore?
It's also anti-democratic to have a development panel stacked with unelected planning experts. They ought to undergo a similar electoral process as any councilor, especially given that some or an immediate family member (not speaking specifically about any single panel here) have made exorbitant profits as developers.
The process continues to be opaque to the point it smells, frankly.
It ONLY does a re-recentering and not much else, so please keep the extra code of mine that you placed after it... for now. Also this re-centering may break something so I wanted to add it first.

I'm so glad to not be alone in noticing this! Not only by your comment above, but yesterday when talking to someone on my random travels while campaigning, they were privy to the problems associated with Cloudflare too. It was great to be able to share a conversation with a random person about this probelm, hidden under the surface... almost like a virus itself.
This is something I was hoping to avoid talking about online, but my candidate statement (for mayor) will be published online soon anyway.
In that statement is my intention to, if elected, open a non-lending, public bank that does not use U.S. servers.
After yesterday's random interaction and yours, I am more confident that a sizable proportion of voters will understand the value of the proposal.
