@craig0990 Yes, pixelfed has two levels of restricted usernames. One is mandatory, the other is optional!

A few weeks ago Gab claimed to be working on a middleware so they can use Mastodon compatible mobile apps. (Their app got removed).

I am keeping an eye on Gab because pixelfed uses the same PHP framework and I don't want them to have an easier path to the fediverse if they decide to adopt it. Any suggestions?

@kaniini Local storage is used already, object storage is optional. I dont understand how you think its a bad idea.

@Gargron The storage logic is handled by flysystem. Its pretty powerful.
