We can't do that, nor would we want to.

We make the best DE we can because (a) different things work for different people, (b) we want other FLOSS projects (including other DEs) to succeed and prop them up the best we can, and (c) we need to help users not to have to submit to the abuse and loss of privacy they suffer when they use a proprietary DE... The same as all the other FLOSS DEs.

Our advice: Choose the DE you want and respect and love everybody who wants the same as you.

@Feufochmar @yuckyrat Konqueror does not work on Windows, no, as far as I know. But there are plenty of other KDE apps that do: Okular, Krita, Kdenlive, KDE Connect, to mention just a few.

#labplot will soon be releasing version 2.9. LabPlot is used for the analysis and visualization of data by researchers, engineers and scientists worldwide, including at NASA and CERN. LabPlot needs volunteers to test new features before the final release (due in April), and you can help: get the beta and give it a spin!

@kde But not only "desktop software". We are all using web services today, so it is also very important to make those less energy hungry. I saw a list of internet services with their impact on CO2 emmisions and it was terrible. A single PC is literally nothing compared to that.
