KDE Eco will hopefully start a trend that would ideally reach all kinds of software: apps, frameworks, servers, and, yes, web platforms and applications.

The project is just starting, though, so we are concentrating on what we know about best first, and that is our own software.

@DiabolusAlbus @PINE64 No one is forcing anyone to do anything. KDE Eco aims to provide project managers and developers a clear series of guidelines and tools that help figure out how to make their code more energy-efficient, is all.

Whether they then decide to submit their work for certification or not is entirely up to them.

Software may be immaterial, but it runs on hardware and determines its energy consumption. Making software energy efficient is crucial. Let's build energy-efficient Free Software together!

Due to a minor oversight, the latest release of @gcompris went out with an error that affected several activities. Today we are releasing a correction and we recommend you update immediately.

GCompris, KDE's educational software with more than 150 educational activities, releases version 2.2. This version brings visual updates, bug fixes, improvements, new voices for Norwegian Nynorsk and complete Russian translation.
