@wysteria I'd be happy to separate the creator from the work, in this case, if they weren't making free software un-free in the name of their politics. @dielan@grips
@dielan@grips Still seems like a cop-out response to me. Smooth experience on mobile or not, I'm not happy using them anymore. And I'd gotten quite comfortable with their layout too, but c'est la vie.
I'm far from able the make any calls, but I would say hold ground and refuse to comply with anything short of a direct demand from the Store or a court order. Let them be the bad guy first.
@DJWalnut@shaderphantom@kaniini@kemonine@dielan@freakazoid This strongly suggests the problem lies with Google/Apple, not Gab. Once app devs start balkanizing the Fediverse in the face of every PR smear, it will immediately be weaponized by every malicious partisan actor across the entire spectrum.
@maxmustermann@sandzwerg@fedilab This is fantastic news, and I'm happy to see Fedilab stand by principle. I was already planning to leave Tusky, but now I guess Fedilab is my new best friend.
@DJWalnut@shaderphantom@kaniini@kemonine@dielan@freakazoid If apps are likely to get banned for being able to operate over an open protocol with a given instance based on the content of that instance, would those apps also need to hardcode blocks to SmugLoli? Or SPC, or FSE? If not, why not?
Possibly the most Japanese thing I've ever seen is a tripod mounted, freestanding speaker with an internal motion detector. It was at the entrance of an industrial facility, and if the sensor was tripped a recorded message would politely remind everyone not to walk with their hands in their pockets.
