@Jessica @Mitsu @icedquinn @lain Norway wanted the same thing as China, a giant firewall that all internet traffic in and out of the country passes through which stores metadata for all connections and periodic full data snapshots of random data.The only "difference" is that they slapped on a "We promise to only use it to 'protect' our citizens and we'll only look at the logs if there's a terrorist attack or something"

@tuxcrafting @georgia it's only so they don't ship with Windows.Not sure why they refuse to ship the laptops OS-less. But companies like HP, Lenovo and Dell have been shipping their business range laptops with FreeDOS for ages because IT departments will just PXE boot their own Windows install over it anyways, so why pay for a windows license with the machine.

I really hope the idiots in the cities don't ruin electric scooters for everyone here in Norway. There's even been some discussion about banning the use of electric scooters during nighttime and fuck that.

So many people renting scooters drunk in Oslo and Bergen, or just crashing into people at 20 km/h on the sidewalk. Not to mention that the rental scooters all over the streets are basically just litter.We got away decently scot-free when rental scooters launched in Oslo. But Bergen got scooters in June and ever since it's been a constant argument about tightening regulations.
