@vriska@Moon don't know if it's a woman or man related thing, but I find it strange why people can't just be like "I found a great partner and I'm happy with that." Maybe because a lot of parters aren't really that great, though we try to delude ourselves into thinking so?
@shmibs@lain@mono what makes you think teachers are doing it solely out of altruism when they get benefits unparalleled in today's private sector like "tenure" for job security and a defined benefit pension plan?
@Moon an edict saying I must wear a mask because I might be infected is in the same category as one saying I must wear a yellow armband because I might be a terrorist. Wearing an armband does no harm, you could argue, so why not just do it? Because there is no due process involved and no way for me to appeal this result which paints me as a menace to society without any specific evidence. When the government makes unjust edicts and laws it is the duty of the people to refuse.

Hector [EUnomia score: -84%]https://wwwnc.cdc.gov/eid/article/26/10/20-0948_article> The general public should be educated about mask use because cloth masks may give users a false sense of protection because of their limited protection against acquiring infection (16). Correctly putting on and taking off cloth masks improves protection (Table). Taking a mask off is a high-risk process (34) because pathogens may be present on the outer surface of the mask and may result in self-contamination during removal (31).So assuming some level of mask effectiveness, what's the point of me wearing a mask as I walk into a restaurant, only to remove it once I sit down to eat, given the above? Nothing, that's what. It's pure theater.> To our knowledge, only 1 randomized controlled trial (4) has been conducted to examine the efficacy of cloth masks in healthcare settings, and the results do not favor use of cloth masks.Case in point. The evidence is not there. All the rest is anecdotal. Arresting and fining people based on anecdote and conjecture is both anti-science and immoral. Cloth mask mandates are unconstitutional, immoral, and ineffective until proven otherwise.
@jeff@coolboymew conservatives don't use the term "stay in your lane" like that. Also the thought that one's racial categorization determines what pictograms or hieroglyphs one is allowed to write revolts me to the core.
