@shmibs @lain @Hyolobrika basically I have never met a Christian who only liked Jews because they had to mostly die to fulfil prophecy, which is the overwhelming interpretation of their motives that I see online. I have a lot of negative experiences of Christians going back to childhood so yeah I am very aware that a lot of them are rotten people and I don't totally know why they gravitated to being such a strong christian

@Hyolobrika @lain There is a massive difference between the Christians I have known IRL as a practicing Christian, and Christians I have seen online. I have known exactly one family IRL that were anti-Semitic (and not openly) I don't think it's simply people online being more honest.

@thatguyoverthere some of these things come down to fundamental disagreements.if you think the USA is basically good and just then releasing a million diplomatic cables is bad. But if you think the USA is up to shenanigans (and it objectively is) then releasing those cables is exposing it which is good.

@thatguyoverthere it's weird to think that journalists in the USA are in their own weird and stupid way very patriotic and they somehow hate WikiLeaks when it exposes the country torturing. Like, how do you get mad at the guy exposing the torture but not the torturers? I realize assange is not American but let's say he was, who is more patriotic here
