These organizations usually ends up appointing zealots who ends up caring more about such initiatives than the supposed primary goals of the organization in the first place. This is annoying because it destroys the organization and ends up making it racist and sexist too in most cases. See James Damore and Google. I'll remind you that for his extremely milquetoast memo, the CEO came back home in an emergency to take care of the case... what?While Stallman had some wild ideas, I guarantee you that the organization would have a better focus with him at the helm than someone who's looking like a clear diversity zealot, you can see it in his Twitter, it is pretty much nothing but thatI a not kidding when I call these people zealots. The organization will become the diversity initiative and it will drive away everyone who actually cared for the primary goal and will bring nothing but people who cares about nothing but diversity initiatives -

@qrsbrwn @lanodan @shebang @tuxcrafting There's a massive difference between simply starting to hire female employees where there were none before (Whether by law allowing it or societal changes) and outright modern circa 201X "diversity" initiativesYou are conflating the two, that is the problem. There is no issues with women, people of any race and orientating joining. I don't think anyone had any problems with it in the first place. The problem with diversity initiative and the people usually driving it, is that they're fetishizing it to an extremely unhealthy degree to a degree where it's important above everything else, to the point of driving away everyone who didn't come for that and the politics that usually comes with it are extremely unnecessary divisive and often very contrary to these organization goals -

@lanodan @tuxcrafting @shebang I don't know what there is to not understand there. The only people who cares about people's color of skin, orientation, etc. are SJW. The main point of such organization is to try to increase membership, just simply membership. Like, who cares how much melanin the membership has, or how gay it is. Plus, to actually say something like this immediately after being chosen means it's a big virtue signal and is going to be the focusIf anyone here is a member or cares deeply about the organization, either fight this tooth and nail or jump ship immediately. The org is definitively going to waste a stupid amount of time in diversity initiative instead of actually doing it's supposed job. Worse case scenario, they'll start pushing for CoC, anti-free speech and the likes initiative. Either way, the organization is 100% going to fall into stupid crap it shouldn't do, thanks to intersectionality -
