@lain @shmibs I mean, I would assume that taking money by force means you don't have to be as helpful to clients and can more easily get away with annoying stickers. So I was confused when you made that argument.I think it's the opposite pretty much everywhere in the world to my knowledge.

@asa@shmibs is right that no one can have absolute perfect mathematical liberty. that's why we have systems that balance people's desires/liberty against each other.

@shmibs technically no, but there's a big difference between deciding to wear a hat and deciding that someone else should wear a hat. even if other people can technically see the hat, who cares? if they don't like it they can look away

@dave It's worth noting that Tesla once fired an employee for posting a video of one of their self-driving cars that painted them in a bad light (according to Louis Rossmann). He is not a friend of free speech.

@lain @dave Choosing to be polite about someone you presumably love is not an issue of free speech, no. Also, insulting a loved one and criticising devices that can easily kill a person if defective are not remotely the same thing.
